Live-in House Allrounder, (f), full time, ZH
We are looking for a warm, capable and discreet live-in household all-rounder to join a family of 5, kids are 13, 11 and 8 years old. This is a flexible, hands-on role for someone who enjoys turning their hand to whatever the family needs — caring for and engaging with the children, keeping the household running smoothly, and helping with service and entertaining. The right person is professional and house-proud, genuinely enjoys children, and takes pride in lightening the load across the whole home.
This is intended as a long-term role with a family looking for someone to grow with them. As the children get older the position can evolve, with scope to take on additional responsibilities over time (for example light family administration).
Flexibility is key- Family life is rarely nine-to-five, and we are looking for someone reliable, uncomplicated and happy to adapt.
You would be joining an established household team: The role works alongside a housekeeper and a Chef/ house manager- teamwork is required!

Childcare
- School runs and driving to activities
- Homework support

Housekeeping
- General cleaning and keeping all living areas tidy
- Kitchen upkeep, including loading and emptying the dishwasher and clearing up throughout the day
- Laundry and ironing
- Turndown in the evenings
- Helping the household run smoothly day to day
Service & entertaining
- Laying and setting the table for family meals and guests
- Serving and clearing at mealtimes
- Helping the household prepare when entertaining or hosting guests
- The small front-of-house touches that make the home run well
Pets & travel
- Helping care for the pets — feeding, walking and general day-to-day attention
- Travelling with the family on occasion, including holidays (accommodation provided)
The person we are looking for
- Above all, plenty of common sense and good judgement
- Experienced with children — reliable, attentive and engaged
- A confident, house-proud all-rounder who is happy across cleaning, service and the day-to-day running of a home
- Genuinely flexible, reliable and uncomplicated — happy to adapt to the family's needs and to travel occasionally
- Looking for a long-term role and happy to grow with a family
- Comfortable living in and being part of a busy family home with pets and guests
- Fond of animals and happy to help care for our pets
- Discreet, trustworthy and self-directed
- Driver
- Languages: English essential; German a strong advantage (to support the children with homework); French also welcome
