Warm Nanny, 100%, E/G, 8706 Meilen

For a warm family in Meilen we are looking for a very experienced nanny with references from the care of infants and school children. You lovingly take care of the 8-year-old son, the baby will be born in December. The mom stays at home after the birth, you are ready to take on all tasks related to the children and to support the mom especially in the phase after the birth. A settling-in in November would be desirable. An attractive long-term position with a lot of responsibility is offered in a pleasant environment.

Area of responsibility:

• Complete care of the newborn: feeding, diaper change, reassurance, bedtimes, walking, etc.
• Supporting the eight-year-old child: preparation for school, afternoon activities, homework supervision, age-appropriate playing
• Supervision of both children if necessary
• Light household tasks related to the children (laundry, tidying up play areas, cleaning baby bottles, etc.)
• Monitoring of supplies related to the newborn (enough diapers, wet wipes, suitable clothes, etc.) in coordination with the mother
• Support in the organization of the family calendar (e.g. leisure activities)
• Shopping and light meal preparation for the kids if needed
• Supporting parents in dealing with the newborn (especially in the postnatal phase)

Your profile:

• At least 5 years of experience and excellent references from long-term employment as a nanny, ideally with newborns and school-age children
• Experience in households with several children
• Certificates in Infant Care (a specialization in newborns is a plus)
• First aid and resuscitation certificate (for infants and children)
• Very good organizational skills and multitasking competence
• warm-hearted, patient and resilient personality
• You are energetic and creative with older children, gentle and empathetic with babies
• Discretion, professional and respectful handling of family boundaries
• Independent, forward-looking and solution-oriented way of thinking and working
• Driver’s license and safe driving experience, a car can be provided
• English-speaking with fluent German language skills/ or German-speaking with fluent English skills

Working hours:

• 42.5-hour week Mon-Fri, approx. 9 a.m. – 6 p.m.
• If you are willing to work on Saturday mornings, you would have half a day off during the week

Start: 1.11. or 1.12. with induction in November
